Wayne Academy Athletics

MISSION STATEMENT:  Wayne Academy’s sanctioned athletic programs strive to provide a  comprehensive, safe and effective interscholastic environment based upon  the needs of potential participants. With a focus on team spirit and  cooperation, our programs afford student-athletes various opportunities  to improve upon the tenants of good citizenship, good sportsmanship and  physical health.

All Wayne Academy sports strive to provide the opportunity for student-athletes to:

1. Glorify God through faith, talent, personal witness and testimony.
2. Make a commitment to school and community growth by promoting leadership traits.
3. Develop cooperative and caring relationships with teammates, coaches, opponents and spectators.
4. Embrace the importance of and balancing academic and athletic requirements.
5. Increase a sense of self-respect while gaining a greater appreciation for human differences.
6. Promote recognition that sports can  develop positive attributes, including healthier lifestyles,  self-esteem, fair play and good citizenship.
